My Story
The Paper Poppy, Adelaide was born out of a desire to minimise plastic waste and disposable balloons at my daughters birthday party. After researching ways to hand-make beautiful, colourful party decorations, I stumbled upon the world of crepe paper flowers. After the party, I wanted to share the joy of the dozens of paper flowers I had created, and sought to recycle them - this is where the Paper Poppy, Adelaide's journey began.
My foray into paper floristry has been greatly influenced by my grandmother, a gifted botanical artist. Her artistry has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the beauty found in nature, inspiring my meticulous approach to crafting botanical pieces.
At The Paper Poppy, Adelaide, I not only craft delicate flora, but I also share my love for the art form through engaging workshops. These sessions provide an avenue for individuals to immerse themselves in the creative process, fostering mindfulness and reaping the therapeutic benefits it offers.
My favourite pieces to create are commissions of sentimental flowers and bouquets, as well as replicas of beautiful flowers and plants that I observe on walks in nature with my family.
